Painting, Popsicle Sticks, Googly Eyes and Learning Names

Big brother has a lot on the go these days.  He’s learning new crafting techniques like glue, glue and more glue, with a side of googly eyes.

A secret project he's been working on for Memere...

He’s also been working on spelling his name.  He was never really interested in it before, but then one day, he asked about it.  So we spelled it out for him a couple of times and then something clicked, and he got it.  And he’s been proudly reciting it ever since.  He’s a smarty pants 🙂  Now we’re working on writing it… that’s going to take a little longer I think!

And then there’s the paint and popsicle sticks.  We only had a few, courtesy of Griffin’s friend, Nathan, but he loved them.  And he loved painting them.  I think I’m going to have to cave and buy the $10 box of popsicle sticks from Michaels so he can build something a little better than a glorified square – ha ha!

Tune in tomorrow night for the family beach pics from when I tried to re-create the perfect beach night.  It was cold, Griff didn’t want his photo taken, Dad kept photo-bombing us and Ken and I were both totally having bad hair days.  Mom did ok 🙂
